A Passion for Food, Family, and Culture

A Passion for Food, Family, and Culture

At Thai Village, our story begins with a dream that started in 2005. Marie and Steve, both of Hmong descent, wanted to share their love for authentic Asian food and the values of servant leadership. They knew the Lansing community deserved a place where families could come together and enjoy real, fresh Thai food. After years of hard work, Thai Village opened its doors in 2011 at 400 S Washington Square in Lansing, MI, and has been serving up delicious meals ever since.

A Journey From Laos to Lansing

A Journey From Laos to Lansing
Marie and Steve’s journey to opening Thai Village wasn’t easy. Born in Laos, they spent several years in Thai refugee camps before coming to America in 1978. Their experiences shaped their passion for food and family. Today, their restaurant honors their heritage by bringing the bold flavors of Thailand to Lansing, sharing their culture, and the dishes they grew up with.
